Splice Kits/Termination Kit

  • 4‘ and 6‘ motor lead/drop cable splice kits.
  • All connectors and shrinkwrap for a watertight splice.

Bore Caps

  • Painted mild steel fabricated bore caps to suit 4" and 6" casing.
  • Slotted for ease to accomodate drop cable
  • Available 1.25" BSP and 2" BSP.

PVC Shroud Adapters

  • 32 x 100mm and 50 x 100mm
  • Preshaped adapter to allow you to manufacture your own shroud length
  • Shrouds ensure water must travel the length of the motor in to the pump suction to aid in cooling the motor.
  • Required in cascading, low yielded, top feeding bores.

Splice Kits/Termination Kit

  • 3mm and 4mm stainless steel wire and matching grips to assemble your made-to-length safety wire.
  • Aids in lifting the pump and ensures the pump remains secured to the head works.

Pressure Gauges

  • 50mm diameter, liquid filled gauges to monitor pump/system discharge pressures.

Applications

These lightning arrestors or their equivalents are highly recommended for protecting submersible motors from commonly occurring high voltage surges which can damage the motor insulation system and cause motor winding failure. (These arrestors will not, as it true of any lightning protection equipment, protect the motor from a direct strike of lightning.)

Applications-6", 8", Severe Duty

The PT100 is a precision platinum wire resistor that is specified occasionally as a temperature input for process control equipment. A jacketed control lead must be run from the PT100 sensor to the above ground equipment. The above ground equipment is not available from Franklin Electric and is typically part of a custom panel or data acquisition system. The PT100 has been added to the product line to allow Franklin Electric to participate in the applications that request PT100 temperature sensor to be furnished with the motor.

PT100 sensor retrofit kits with instructions allow for easy field installation. Severe Duty motors can be ordered with PT100 sensors factory installed.
